Day to day program
Day 1: Arrival
Arrival in Zakynthos. We meet our guide who also takes us to our hotel in Alykanas, on the east side of the island. Here we stay the first four nights. The second half of the week we stay in Kalamaki, in the south of the island to also discover that part of Zakynthos.​​​​​
Day 2: South-east
From Alykanas by car to Gerakas. Walk to the hidden beach to swim and relax. Afterwards drive to Dafni beach and have lunch there.
Day 3: South-west
​Today to Marathia and Mizithres to enjoy the views point and have some short walks. Then to a cozy coffee place in Keri village and a nice boat trip afterwards.
Day 4: Agia Marina Village
Small hike around the village, and after that, we will go to a cozy cafe where we will cook greek foods and eat them afterwards.
Day 5:
Mountainous area
Visit Vertzageio culture museum and then to Giri (traditional old house) and to Loucha, where we visit a cheese factory and have some bites.
Day 6: Tour to the north
Visit to Spiliotissa monastery. Small hike there and lunch at Botega (also folk museum). The tour,brings you to Agios Leon (olive press), Exo Hora (very old olive tree) and (if the road is open), we can see the shipwreck from above.
Day 7: Zakynthos town & sunset hike
In the afternoon we start with a visit to Korakonissi, a secluded bay on the west coast of the island. Then we go to a spot to see an enjoy the sunset.Dinner at a local taverna up in the mountainous area.
Day 8: Optional
& back home
Later in the morning, we go to Zakynthos town, to see some spots (churches, museum etc). After that free time for shopping or a walk around.We meet for lunch in a local restaurant. Afterwards to Bohali, a Venetian castle marvellous town views.We can as well enjoy a traditional Zakynthian dessert there and maybe a coffee.
